Terms & Conditions

We always aim to keep lead-times as short as possible but to prevent any disappointment please allow between 5-10 days for delivery of your order placed online – this only apply for deliveries within South Africa. Order requests will be processed within 2-3 working days and handed over to a courier company for delivery via normal economy rate courier lead-times. (3-5 working days)

Kindly note that order lead-times will be affected, depending on order volumes, final destination address and product availability and other factors i.e. public holidays and circumstances beyond our control i.e. strikes in the transport industry.

Lead-times for very large order volumes or during peak seasonal times will have to be reviewed and may take slightly longer due to the high volume of orders being processed during this period.

Transport charges will be included in the final invoice or quote once you check out or will be referred to our admin office for review.

Free delivery on orders over R500 only applies to orders placed via the Melissa’s online store. It does not apply to any Melissa’s Retail Store Outlet or Melissa’s Wholesale.

For delivery by Courier, the cost for delivery will be based on the actual / volumetric weight of your order – different rates may apply for delivery to addresses in major centres and in outlying regional areas.

Delivery of your order in full is always subject to stock availability and receipt of payment.

Kindly note delivery lead-times in outlying / rural areas may vary from the standard lead-times stated above.

All products are subject to availability – should your product of choice not be available we will supply a substitute product from the same category or similar in value – we will communicate this to you should it be necessary.

Kindly note that we may occasionally run out of stock before we can update our stock availability online – we do however endeavour to keep this to a minimum, but can provide a ‘substitution’ in the event that we are unable to fulfil your original request.

All prices are subject to change without prior notice but under normal circumstances our prices are reviewed once a year.

You hereby indemnify Melissa’s The Food Shop and its affiliates, employees, agents, representatives and third party service providers, and hereby defend and hold each of them harmless from any and all claims and liabilities (including legal costs on the lawyer-client scale) which may arise from your submissions, from your unauthorised use of material obtained through our website, or from your breach of this agreement, or from any such acts through your use of our website.

Full payment clearance for all orders is required before order can be processed and dispatched.
